Spock, you got me wrong here. I wouldn't argue against anything you said and I highly appreciate everyone who's fighting for equal rights as well as against violence. But there is an anti male, man hating kind of feminism out there (especially in the US) that has nothing to do with academic based arguments or fighting for equal rights for women. It's main purpose is to turn the whole thing around in the opposite direction and it's just not doing anything good for anyone.
And wether anyone agrees with me or not... As someone who went through abuse I can't deal with having my experience compared to the feeling of being raped because there is a guy sitting on the train with it's legs spread. That's just ridiculous and has nothing to do with fighting for equal rights.
