Sorry Abit Of A Rant

I rang the doctor's to get an emergency appointment, was told sorry but we are not giving out any appointments today I can book you in for next week, or you can ring nhs direct. So I decided to ring to them instead. No luck, we're not getting around in your area but if its an emergency call 999.
ARGH I just need some morphine does that come under an emergency?​

What do you need morphine for?

My stomach, I'm in agony.

Isn't there anything else that helps you with your stomach? Morphine sounds a bit drastic..

Yea I have to have it when I'm really bad, and today nothing else seems to be working.

If it is that bad, then I suggest you go to your A&E department.

If you rang 999 and got an ambulance, they would be very unlikely to give you morphine and leave you at home. They would take you to the emergency department.

When nhs direct came out before to me they left me at home cause I had someone here. I'm trying to get through to my consultant to see what he suggests.

I don't mean to pry, but how long have you been taking morphine for?

Around 8months, I don't take it all the time only as a last resort.

You should just go to the ER. Won't they do anything for you?
Can you admit yourself to the hospital?
