I thought "Healing" too Angel2, but also like "Balanced". I have to say, kudos to you girlfriend because I really like the first seven you suggested.

Edited: I wasn't sold on the owl thing, but since some of us do the "wise mind" thing thought it might resonate. Not wholely convinced that a boatload of posts makes you "wise" though. Verbose maybe but not necessarily wise. (thinking of myself here)

I went and looked at the thesaurus. A synonym for "mastering" is excelling. A synonym for perservering is "maintaining."

I also found enlightened, which is a bit much, and mindful, which is not so bad.

We should probably avoid perspicacious... it sounds a little like something you take antibiotics for. :laugh:

I like healing and enlightment. What a great idea. I sure missed out on all the fun here. Now that my crises is settling down alittle I am catching up on what I missed around here. Great ideas everyone. Anthony what a great idea.

Wisdom is the judicious theory and application of knowledge. It is a deep understanding and realization of people, things, events or situations, resulting in the ability to apply perceptions, judgments and actions in keeping with this understanding. It often requires control of one's emotional reactions (the "passions") so that universal principles, reason and knowledge prevail to determine one's actions. Wisdom is also the comprehension of what is true coupled with optimum judgment as to action.

You can read some of the issues in the above for yourself. A synonym of wisdom is "insightful" which may provide a more all-round solution. You are more insightful in how you approach PTSD, manage PTSD, but not necessarily wise to all facets of PTSD.

Maybe when you start the owls you begin with insightful and move through another procession towards wisdom. Quite honestly, I can attest that with time and work, posting here... you really do become quite wise in the ways of PTSD, how to deal with others, how to manage yourself best.

You will never get one single word that defines all... you have to aim for the majority and be satisfied.
