That sounds like a great thing to have - a rocking chair.Rocking helps the most. I have a rocking chair at my computer for that reason.
I do small rocking in bed and I want to do more standing rocking.

Yes, of course you are right.I'm not sure the parts that are stuck in triggered states/don't feel safe, understand logic.
When it's this bad, honestly not so much. That works when I am more co-conscious. When there is clearly both adult and child present. Here, the child parts - and otherwise traumatized parts - are stealing the show. I'm actually feeling more traumatized as the reality of the situation sets in, than I was the first couple of days. What helps me is stroking my arm or giving myself a hug, or using a fidgety toy etc. Something little/young parts might like to soothe them.
Do things like that work for you?
Give yourself a break. It's very dysregulating to fight off a cougar.I can tell my prefrontal cortex is not working well because I remember all the people explaining to me why this is not my fault, but it still feels like it is and it's hard to connect to the logic. There must be a way to integrate the information so my whole brain knows it.
That would look good on a T-shirt.It's very dysregulating to fight off a cougar.
