Stopping Meds

I don't think my meds are working. I'm finding I'm way more up and down than I was before taking them. I'm getting really intrusive thoughts and ideas ..
I'm definitely not happy. I realize that meds are not the fix, is it possible that they are making me feel crappy? I have my appt Tuesday about getting something to sleep better but now thinking that maybe weaning off might be better.

Anyone have any thoughts?
My wife is convinced it's the meds.

It's definitely possible for meds to make you feel worse. I was on thirteen (or is that fourteen?) medications at one point and they didn't make me feel better one bit.

It's definitely possible that the specific medications you're taking are making you feel worse or they are having fluctuating results. Are these medications relatively new? Is it possible that your body needs time to adjust? If anything, maybe tell your doctor this and maybe your doctor can give you better medications and look into ones that don't make you feel the way you've been feeling with these? Alternatives can be better than just completely coming off of it. I use Trazodone to sleep and it works wonders! I used to use Seroquel before and it was a nightmare!

I think in my case my meds made it hard for me to process and fix any of my triggers, or emotions I was feeling.
I was on them for 13 years, so quitting was hard, like yanking a band aid off,
but I did quit bleeding. :)
