There are a LOT of really useful/informative/even inspiring studies on the subject.

I’m an outlier, as I’m hypermobile so yoga is a nonstarter; and ADHD means I’m sooooo grateful most of my childhood was in SE Asia where western ideas of “meditation” can suck an egg, as “sitting with” & “clearing my mind” can f*ck right off….

…but?

Yes. Both can be very useful things to MOST people.

((If you’ve lived somewhere they’ve been “normal” for a few thousand years? Instead of a few decades? Then one also gets the “this isn’t new” variations that are just as transcendental. For we outliers. “Just” also? Very different looking, for the same end result.))
