Stupid Anxiety

I hate anxiety! I have been doing so well with keeping my anxiety and panic attacks to a minimum this last month. Then this week boom high anxiety levels. I will admit I have had some new stressors. I started a few college classes last week so that is defiantadding to my anxiety. I will be going to the doctor tomorrow to see if they can figure out what is wrong with my knee. It has being stiff and throbbing off and on for about 5 months. Work is stressful in itself and since I already used up my PTO I have to jump though some hoops because of going to see the doctor tomorrow. I hope this anxiety level will pass soon but until then :arghh;.
 
Hang in there!!! Anxiety is ROUGH. Have you tried any breathing exercises? They don't always help me but they seem to calm me down so I don't have a full blown attack. Are you on any anxiety meds like xanax? I feel you. My anxiety have been through the roof lately. :hug:
 
It is so hard, especially when you can't seem to control how many stressors are there.
Some things that helped me:
1. Exercise (even walks outside..but you have to get your heart rate up a little.)
2. Deep breathing or meditation
3. Basking under the sun or short sessions in a tanning booth. (Use discretion for health reasons!)
4. Hot baths/showers
5. Enough sleep (I know this one is tough. I find that sleeping after a hot shower helps.)
6. Eliminating small stressors: have people help you clean, shop, etc.
7. Small naps
8. music
9. Hobby: I like to paint. singing helps too. Knitting, sorting, etc. Anything you like to do that puts you in a semi hypnotic state?
10. Making lists. Having control helps stress.
