Hey all,
It's been awhile since I have come online and checked out much of anything on here! Seems I sunk into a dark place of isolation for about 2 weeks or so. But yet again I have pulled my self out, started councilling again and am feeling pretty good.
However, I need some help from some fellow Canadians or someone who knows about Canadian Veterans Affairs. My BF is going the some serious issues with them in reguards to his disability stuff. Not to mention he's trying to get treatment for some of his issues but is being turned down becuase VAC doesn't recognize the doctors treatment reccomendation.
I watched my BF for almost 4 hours last night while he twitched, moaned, groaned, cried and screamed because he was in so much pain. He's more than depressed now because his disability claim was rejected due to doctors wording something incorrectly and now if he wants to appeal the decisions its going to take that much longer for money to hit the bank. Money isn't so much the issue, the lack of being able to afford the treatment he needs from pain clinics is wieghing heavy on both of us.
My question is, does anyone here know how a veteran can go about making a complaint about VAC? Who does he need to talk to? Are we doing all that we can and are we going to just have to sit back and wait?
It's so hard for me to watch the man that I love go through such pain like he is right now! But realistically I am only his GF I cannot call up VAC and demand answers because I am not his "wife" yet. If anyone has any awesome hoem remedies for sciatic pain let me know :) Cheers
