I'm all about specifics with respect to stuff like this. I've been trying to find info from neutral sources. (Still looking.) Here's the best I've come up with so far. http://time.com/3988970/donald-trump-business/

That article starts with the negative stuff. I guess I'd have written it the other way around but I didn't write it.

I know wikipedia isn't exactly gospel, but the article seems objective and informative.

That's the kind of thing I've been trying to find. There's plenty not to like about Hillary Clinton. But, she, to me anyway, seems like a known quantity. Mr Trump, on the other hand, I don't know as much about. I know what I don't like. And I'm not impressed with vague, dramatic rhetoric. I'd like facts and supporting evidence and I hope some of his supporters can (and will) provide that here. (I'm going to try to resist offering any opinions of my own. I just want to learn what I can.)

For me it is very simple. You have a man who is simultaneously running first....a successful business, and a wildly successful Presidential campaign and doing both incredibly well. You have got to be a very humble person to delegate and put people in positions to make your enterprises a success. Only a humble, trusting person can do this in my opinion.

I am no longer a Trump supporter after reading what he and Bill Clinton were friends with a pedophile and it is in the the popularity of Trump thread.

There is a lot of time before the election and I do like Gary Johnson. But I am undecided now.

I just have to sit back and watch what happens between now and November to make my choice. I am not a supporter of the Clintons and their plans for this country at all..I just have to wait and see and then decide. Back to square one.:cry::sour:

What I find interesting, is that people put emphasis on Trump's business prowess in relation to being President, as though synonymous. There are people who run a countries finances, the leader doesn't do that. A leader is also just a front man, they don't really have a great deal of direct power, as anything they want to do has to be approved by people around them. Trump can't just go and launch nuke's, for example. He can't just go and change financial aspects of the US without approval through the relevant systems. He can't even dismantle the systems in place, as they're fixed.

Leaders are fronts to much larger, complicated structures. They can influence things, but they can't approve or deny a whole lot in essence, by themselves. Trump will just be another puppet as all leaders before him, if elected.

Some one please tell me why 6 bankrupt businesses make for a good POTUS. Understanding that he paid his creditors pennies on the dollar and kept the properties involved, or investors were left holding the empty bag. That does not sound like a moral way to make money, or create jobs when you kill the small businesses that work at a loss. Guess that is why there are so many living in poverty.

You sumed up, very VERY well what I think of Trump. Big business doesnt make good a President. BUT, anything is better than Clinton in my opinion!

My worse nightmare were the two being the last two left and now I have to decide which one would be better, if I vote at all.

Trump I cant directly comment on as I am not educated and I never enter without being educated on the subject. I just havent been able to watch the campagins yet, too triggery, but I will soon and will come back will more Trump stuff.

They are not, technically, the last 2 standing. The Libertarian is on the ballot in all 50 states, I think, so they have a shot. The Green Party is on the ballot, right now, in enough states that they, technically, could get enough electoral votes to win. (The are working on getting on the ballot in more states right now.) We have a number of other parties that I imagine are doing the same. If enough people refuse to give in the the big 2, we have more choices.

The Libertarian

Meh :meh: Libertarians rarely if ever get elected. Im closer to a Libertarian or independant but registered Rep so I can vote in primaries if I wanted to. Im more in the middle but lean more towards Rep than Dem.

So yeah, I still say it makes me for Trump by default as Id never waste a vote on someone not Rep or Dem as I dont think, in my opinion as I did not google this so simply an opinion, someone not Rep or Dem wouldnt be elected. At least hasnt been in my lifetime and the way the polls are, seems that way now.

That's what they want you to think. :ninja:
