Tales Of Tails!

@lostforgottensoul

"I f*cking dare you!" is a perfect description of the stare! I find it quite funny when you have big dogs shying at that stare from a cat. My parents' lab did the same under the scornful gaze of their persian.

So glad to hear stories about animals finding good, loving homes. We managed to place most of the kittens until we could have all the cats at work sterilized. Fortunately management didn't have a problem with them being there, so they had a safe area where they received food on a daily basis. At one point we had over 20 familiar ferals roaming.

It's also lovely to hear stories about cats and dogs getting along. Their interactions are often adorable!

I relate with the circus feeling! Once had 2 adults, my 2 cats (the one from my avatar and my persian, both rescues), and 4 extremely active kittens waiting for their new mom to come home from vacation. It was insane!

Thank you for this thread. I'll be checking in often.

My big boy (see avatar) makes me laugh all the time! He has this GSD head-tilt he does when you talk to him, but his ears are Golden Retriever-floppy, making a "T" of his head...its so adorable! Also, if he's laying down and I spoon with him (I'm the big spoon!), he groans in contentment just like a human. I think he learned that from my dad. He'll eat food off a fork without touching the fork, being careful to keep his lips well away from the metal.

The young dog (a 2 yr old purebred GSD) loves to tunnel under me in order to wake me up. He also loves playing with my feet, which tickles tremendously! When I get his leash from the hook by the door, he gets so excited he starts "singing" which is a mix between a howl and a whine, with an occasional bark at the end. Its so cute, no one really complains when he does this before daybreak.....

Both dogs are the best of friends, and often play hard with each other. Big dog is 2x the size of the little one, but they play so hard and yet so gently with each other! Big boy sounds like he's gonna kill the little one, but he nose-butts and just uses feet and head pushes to instigate a play-fight. Little dog acts like a spring and bounces all over big-dog with such agility, its impressive. These two are so well-suited to each other! Watching them play-fight makes me smile and laugh all the time.

My dog does that but makes it sound like someone is hurting him lol.

So cute! Sounds like my pitbull and my parent's chihuahua, best friends! My dog loves other dogs but the chihuahua (like all) thinks he's a big dog and my dog is like "what's up? Eh? Want him you'll need a piece of me! Yeah, run you little sissy!" Lol.

I finally got my laptop up & on the internet (Ive not been in this laptop since like 2011) and I have so many great pics of my current 2 cats and 2 bunnies I used to own. Hope you enjoy:

The other bunny I owned named Nala (because she was a lionhead rabbit so Nala was the female lion in Lionking. She's standing on her big cage.)

I have more but thought that was already too much.

And your photos really cheered me up today, so an exta big thank you for sharing.

YAY! And you are very welcome!!

I love pictures too. Was watching youtube vids of sugar gliders. I want one so bad but I dont have room for the big cage they need. But they are soooooooo cute! And they bond with you. They say use a small bird cage at first to make the bond with them.

The 1st or 2nd Christmas we had her, I started to notice all the birds on the Christmas tree were placed in one spot. I thought my sister had done it, but when we were gone my German Shepherd had delicately removed them all and put them together on the tree like a little family.. finally figured it out when one was upside down. :p Got to love a dog who knows her taxonomy,

You know those videos where military personnel get home from overseas? She does that to my sister when she leaves for 3 minutes. :roflmao:

When you put her in the back of the car, she jumps over the back seat then the front & sits in the driver's seat behind the wheel. She looks like she's driving.

From the back seat, when you shoulder check she kisses you. :inlove:

OMG!!! :roflmao: That's one talented dog! :D

I got my bunny Ductchess first (the loppy ear one in the harness a few posts up) and I litter trained her so I left her cage door open and her little corner rabbit litter box food & water and a bed (though she preferred the cat's water and sometimes their food) and she would jump up on the couch with you and then strecth her legs way way out up against your leg. She was AWESOME!

Then I got Nala (darker lionhead) thinking "a bunny friend". Nope, Nala was mean from day one and nothing changed that. Had to keep them both in seperate cages and Ductchess got too scared to come out of her cage and spent so much time on guard. Was so sad! Was almost like bunny trauma though Nala never hurt Dutchess. It was more like Nala told Dutchess in their silent nose moving langauge "im the queen now bitch".

It is so cool to have a litter trained rabbit. They are so loving, except lionheads. Both were rescues from where I volunteered so didnt have a chance to research.
