I'm a female sufferer, I've been dealing with PTSD for maybe a year and a half now. Are you a sufferer yourself or do you know someone suffering from PTSD?

Hi, I hope its ok to say this, I am a male sufferer of CPTSD since early childhood, and I do not live in Taos, I just wanted to say what a cool place I think Taos is, and that it must be nice to live there! Are you a skier, by chance?

I am a female sufferer from childhood until I was 13. I handled my PTSD because I didn't know I had it. I feel that God put up amnesia walls so that the sorrows and pain could be compartmentalized and I wouldn't be overwhelmed by it. I've been in Therapy for a while. It has taken time and energy. I am still going with a different Therapist who is an EMDR instructor. The results have been very good so far.

Mercy, I just found a doctor and am going to begin EMDR. Previously, I had never heard of it. I had only tried medication and talk therapy. I did not realize there were other options. I am grateful for this. Thank you for your response and giving mr hope. :)

I am in Sydney in Australia. I have only tried talk therapy thus far but that's because I haven't been in therapy very long yet! I suffered in silence for about a year until I realised what was happening to me. I am so glad you're getting the help I'm sure you deserve :) and I hope you find a lot of support here like I have!

NicG, thus far I have found this to be a fabulous site and am overwhelmed by the amount of in-depth information on here. It is such a solace to see how much support there is on here and that people can articulate word-for-word how I feel; I don't feel alone for the first time in my life. Thank you so much!
