I grind my teeth all day long & all night in my sleep. So bad that the nerve is almost exposed on one of my lower molars. I bought a custom mouth guard for $300-400 once from the dentist & I cracked it into pieces in my sleep. :eek:

I started grinding my teeth at a very young age. My mother would yell at me to stop. Couldn't. I'd clench my teeth also.

A dentist in 1988/9 asked if I wanted a guard. I thought I would never grind my teeth again after I first disclosed my abuse. So I said no. I continued to grind my teeth until I remembered that my father was my main abuser and what kind of abuser he was. Then I stopped. That was late in 2011. I still occasionally clench my teeth.
