My given name Debra Lynn, but I am going by Tessana Lynn. This name was given to me about 33 years ago by my best friend who I named Cheronne; which by the way, she loved so much she legally changed her name.
Anyway, we (back then it was Debbie and Chris) got all dressed up one night (instead of going in our usual jeans and comfortable T shirt or blouse) to visit our favorite local pub. After we arrived and order drinks one of our friends came over to us and said, “Wow, what’s up with you two, looks like you gals just stepped off the cover of Vogue. We laughed and told him we did! After he left, we decided we should take advantage of our new identities and go out on the town. I am not sure who came with the idea that we should also have names, but the ends result was... we felt it was a great idea.
As I stated we’re best friends, birth days 1 day apart, had a psychic connection and of course, both Aquarians. So we made the rules for giving each other names. I had to name her and she had to name me, we also had to spell the name and give a reason for it or meaning to it.
Thus, the name Tessana, meaning; mystical, spiritual and a love for nature. I named her Cheronne: meaning powerful, money and rich; which fit her well due to everything about her demeanor said money. And top it off she was studying to become an accountant.
I love nature! The wind is one of my favorite earth powers; I guess I live in the right place for wind now; the desert of Arizona seems to always have wind, ha, ha. I love animals... any and all! I read just about anything, but I mostly enjoy humorous mysteries. I am a crafter; scrapbooking, drawing, woodworking, painting, etc.
I am married to a great guy, sometimes a pain, but his is my guy. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary this year; however, we have a history of about 20 yrs. We both have 3 grown children, 4 grown grandchildren, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, plus 2 on the way. Oh ya, I mustn’t forget about our 3 furkids (dogs).
I have been involved in recovery for 30 years, however, it seems like I take 2 steps forward and 4 steps back sometimes. Still have insanity in my head and it seem like I have more now than I use to. The reason is body has wear down from all of the external and internal stress. Now I am on disability which is extremely difficult for me mental, physically and emotionally. I have always had my body to be there for me, but now it is not; no more running, exercise out, dancing or just being physical. So needless to say my stress is high, but the good thing about all of this is I am feeling the feelings in a different way. Or maybe, it is because I am able to see and feel them due to less ways of distraction self. LOL! Just writing this has helped me.
Anyway, I look forward to being a member and here from others.
