Me Myself and I

To some of you (thank you PTSD) would probably sound like the craziest thing ever.
Not for me though, only after I got to "know" my PTSD, I for the first time was able to open up to myself, to explore my mind and body like never before. Only then I learnt to be less harsh on myself, to listen to my inner needs better, to be there for me. To know when it's too much, and to shut off when needed!
PTSD was my wake up call in a way, I would've preferred a less complex and difficult one of course, but so it was. It helped me discover qualities within me I never thought I had, it taught me patience and understanding.
It gave me a complete new view on people, life and myself.
It was and still is a tough journey, yet again I did find my silver lining. Did you? I really hope so! :)
