The Doomsday Trend

Thanks so much guys, having your support and your replies mean such a great deal to me. :inlove:

As for a mammory exam, my most recent assault ('09) was a co-worker grabbing my breast, and refusing to let go, and even now letting my partner near that area is very (pardon the pun) touch-and-go.

I have many goals, but one of my most important ones is to get married, and have children with my partner. Now that my longevity is no longer threatened by cervical cancer, I can start REALLY stressing about PTSD and fixing it.....:rolleyes::p

I first got the news that I was on the brink of cervical cancer when I was 18, and I was told that it would only ever get worse, and then I got assaulted, so I spent 2 years feeling guilty that I was too terrified to go in for surgery.

It definitely sparked a self harming spiral of behaviour in me, and I'm hoping that this latest news will be enough to help me snap out of it a little with SI.

I'm starting to smile again!

I know it seems a little self centered, but it's been a long time since I've been confident enough to take and post a picture of myself!

And also some of my cheeky side back! (don't mind the bags under my eyes, I'd barely slept in 2 weeks)

Thanks abstract. And be nice to Neanderthals!!!! I'm sure not even THEY would have said something like what he did!

Thinking about it is the worst part.....if you find a GP who sees you on the day and you like them, don't think about it twice, just close your eyes and jump in.
It was the only way I could do it.

If you don't like them, just tell them that you will make another appointment, and see how you go.
I don't know how it works for you, but in Melbourne, Australia, they have a Women's Health Clinic at the Royal Women's Hospital, and they have a pool of doctors or nurses that are in specific areas, i.e Initial/Checkup, Pre-Op, Post-Op, etc.

I wish I had thought of it earlier, but if you find a place like that, or one that is fee subsidised, then I would recommend just keep seeing different people until you find someone you like, and then set aside a day for it, and stock up on chocolate, fruit and funny movies for when you get home......best distraction ever!

And thanks for the compliment!

And on the subject of being taken seriously, NOW do you guys see why I chose my avatar.......he's the only one who can be cute and annoyed and STILL be taken seriously......every time I get annoyed I get a pat on the head from my partner and a cuddle because apparently I'm too cute to be taken seriously......

Being patted like a plush toy gets old VERY quickly!!!! :ninja::devilish::banghead::blackeye::mask:
