Well, calm down laurie, or you will never get this thread written.
I have been waiting nearly 2 years for financial help from the Royal British Legion with finally rebuilding my life properly after my catastrophic, home wrecking, family destroying, career losing breakdown of May 2013. I was referred to the Legion branch of the UK Military back in July 2013 and in principle my financial funding was tentatively given a green light then, to then be refused as I spiraled down and down mentally until I drank so much alcohol in one weekend I ended up in a coma on life support.
Soon after that I was sectioned and hospitalized into a secure mental hospital for my and others safety as I was having explosive trigger episodes as well.
Well I have been waiting for the confirmation this week (whilst being severely depressed at the same time because of bloody (V) Day ! to hear if that funding has been re-instated.
Today I rang the Legion and YES! it has, finally I can move out of supported accommodation into independent living, Finally I can really start to rebuild my life and soon I hope, no not hope Laurie, soon I will be back in gainful employment as well, I will then be able to give my lovely children the financial support they deserve as well.
BLOODY HELL it feels good to be in my shoes today.
:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
