The Harry Potter Thread

When I watch the Goblet of Fire, the movie, I always cry when Harry comes back with the Portkey and with Cedric's body.

But I just read the 4th book... and while I was reading I was amazed how much I had forgotten of the story. I hadn't read the book for a long time now, and had always thought the film was so much more accurate than it was. So much was different!

The end is so different and she really writes in depth of how Harry feels after the terrible and traumatic events in the graveyard. I just totally cried when Mrs. Weasley just hugged Harry on his bed. And he was in such utter exhaustion and pain. That is how I feel sometimes too.

Constant Vigilance!

I bought the books for my daughter aged eight when the second book came out as she was an advanced reader. However she wrote them off as boys books and they sat on the book case for two months....

I ran out of reading material and decided to give them a go....

She was curious at how much I laughed that she then read them....

Our books are now very well thumbed...she reads the entire set annualy...as does my son and Myself...

As the children have grown they discover new meaning to some of the emotional situations and I must admit that for me...the description of a dementor...sums ptsd up well.
