I am the same way. I flinch when anyone touches me or makes movements near by, or if I see sudden movements. So far I only know one person that I don't flinch around much, or at least not as much.

I love me some hugs! Especially the ones lasting 20 seconds or more to get the full therapeutic effect.

I'm not an aggressive hug snatcher though, by any means. I always clearly ask first and respect the wishes of others. Heart hugs from afar work just as well as arm hugs. :inlove:

I even stop to hug the trees every chance I get. :)

I hug myself, too, when my shoulders don't hurt too bad to allow me to squeeze tight. lol

And yeah, getting permission before hugging is important. I don't hug anyone, even my son, without their permission.
