I hope I'm posting this correctly. Please let me know if not.

I'm currently reading the Maze Runner trilogy by James Dashner. It was recommended to me by Goodreads based on my love for the Hunger Games series. It is of the young adult / science fiction / post-apocalyptic genre. Its a pretty easy read and so far I am really enjoying it. The plot of the first book centers around Thomas, a teenage boy who wakes up in a place called The Glade, with no memories of his past. He is there with 50 other boys who also have lost their memories. The Glade is surrounded by a giant, deadly maze which the boys are trying to crack in order to leave The Glade. It is pretty violent in parts but no more so than The Hunger Games. I find I can relate to the characters on many levels.

Whilst I am capable of reading a lot more complicated/sophisticated writing, I find I enjoy reading fantasy stories written for the teen audience as it caters to my current attention span much more, plus I find the characters much more relatable. Thanks for sharing :)

I know right?! I am also very capable of reading things that are far more sophisticated, but lately my attention span and general energy levels are a lot lower. I find the easy books so relaxing. I just finished Ender's Quintet, the five-book series beginning with Ender's Game, for the same reason. Its an easy read and yet still quite good. The Divergent Series by Veronica Roth (Divergent, Insurgent, Allegiant) is also pretty good. And just as an aside, but all of them are being made into movies like the Hunger Games. I just noticed Divergent is now in theatres and The Maze Runner is going to be a movie soon too. The books are always much better though. :)

Yes the books are always better, but I love that they're made into films - even if they're a let down, I like seeing how they are interpreted and portrayed by the directors/actors plus it turns more people to read the books I think and that's good too. :)

That's a good way to look at it! And you're absolutely right; I became interested in reading Ender's Quintet after seeing Ender's Game, the movie. :)
