The Royal Wedding Is Almost Here

Ignore me, I'm just an old cynic, who, at the moment can't see the tunnel, let alone the light at the end of it.

Rejoice, celebrate and be merry;)

thought you might like a thought for the day.;)

Who ever said the tunnel was straight???
you may be closer to the light at the end than you know.....
If there is a sharp bend in the tunnel right there before the light. The bend may be blocking the light and you may only need one more step to be out of the tunnel all together......

(((Teddy))) I love this, thank you. I will try and remember it.

You will never ever ever understand how that simple thing about the tunnel changed my life!!!
i wish every one knew it and looked at a tunnel like that.
Be happy

I watched what I was able to before leaving for work. What I really enjoyed was the unity of those attending in abbey, but also those in the streets. I LOVED it when they were all singing together. It was so nice to turn on the TV and see people happy and unified.

The only reason I watched it is because I'm not sleeping again at night *sigh*. I am happy for both of them.

I'm glad that William and Kate both love each other because that's what truly counts. The royal family learned from their past mistakes, some families aren't so smart.

really? I thought they all seemed to have a bit of banter when Kate reached Will. I thought it was quite relaxed when it needed to be, but also quite formal at the right times. I know 'we' can be seen as quite reserved, but again, it's tradition that dictates that the first Public kiss takes place on the balcony of Buckingham palace. It's just the rules LOL!!

Maybe I wasn't looking at the right times? My friends had her 2 year old running around and distracting us with her cuteness a fair bit, so my eyes weren't glued to the screen or anything. I'll take your word for it.

Yeah, I guess. I'm not really versed in traditional marriages, so I guess I was going by my personal preference and how I would like it, not the rules.
They actually didn't have much rehearsal together. Maybe Kate knew it well, having rehearsed without William, but I seriously doubt she was bored!! I'm 100% sure that Kate will have had much more say in her wedding than Diana ever did for her wedding. Diana was only 19 when she married Charles, and really didn't know him well. Kate is 29 (I think), and has had 10 years to get used to the idea of marrying a 'prince'. Whilst I'm sure a lot of the guests were guests of the Queen, her family and friends were all there, as were Williams (friends and colleagues)

Oh, I didn't realize. I'd heard through work colleagues, so I probably should have known not to take it all as truth. She probably wasn't bored...that may have been my own projection?:D:p

Whilst I have no doubt that she was influenced, and had to 'abide' by certain traditions, I'm sure she chose her dress, her hair, her makeup, etc. She would not be so easy to 'walk all over' as Diana would have been.

Well that's something.

I do have to say that there was some shocking attire in the congregation - particularly in the womens hat department. What the hell was Beatrice wearing on her head? And Eugenie? Camilla looked dreadful, and I don't even know who was wearing the stupidest hat - because I couldn't see her face - nor could she see were she was going!! (It was possibly Princess Michael, but I couldn't see!!)

All good fun!

I know! It looked like half the women there were going to the horse races, not a royal wedding. This one woman had this atrocious 'hat' on that was like a black saucepan lid sitting upright at the very front of her head...which to me looked ridiculous.

Julia Gillard had an amoeba floating on her head!
