The Small Things In Life. What Makes You Happy?

A fun thread to read. It is the small things in life that make it worth living even if we have to squint to see them, they are there.

A day with no seizures, auras or PTSD triggers or nightmares:)
Laughter from those I am with~~~especially my daughter and my husband.
Watching my cats and dogs play, cut up and being silly enjoying every day they have.
Playing with a string and watching my kitten's eye light up because of my efforts to help her have fun.
Music, songs, and musical documentaries.
A good movie or a great re-run to watch. Loved the Golden Girls, Three's Company, Friends & that 70's show are some of my favorites.
Playing a new chord on a guitar or attempting a new song, no matter how bad it may sound at first.
Playing my favorite song on my guitar- Cool Change by Little River Band or Suspicious Minds by Elvis Presley:)
Sewing hug pillows.
Writing, blogging, and word gambling on the Internet or working on my websites.
Anything creative.

Sitting and reading the forum, with a hot milky drink, just before I head off to bed - like now.

Having a whole day to myself. My husband is taking my son to Adventure World tomorrow, and I get get to do anything I want, I can't remember the last time I had a day that was just mine!

Drinking my Mexican Espresso with hazelnut creamer while searching the web. I can just get lost doing it in the still of the of the night sipping away while everyone, including Big Girl snores away. :) I even feel the whispers of peace sometimes.

Work, ...work makes me happy and especially when being highly productive and accomplishing lots of it.

Other then this:

My dog when he simultaneously stretches, yaws and howls. :laugh:

Tonight my 13 year old made pasta for me and his brother for dinner! It made me happy to see what a beautiful young man he's turning in to and to know I am teaching him to cook and be self-sufficient!:):tup:

When my kids don't want anything at all from me and they snuggle into me with hugs, like we are melted together. That makes my heart smile.

I am supposed to keep my pup quiet again today but I had to let him run a bit. Watching him run recklessly around the yard made me smile. It was pure joy for him.

Yes, he is back to his quiet place... much more relaxed, I must say!
