My little dog Belle jumps up on my lap to be pet. This is a new thing she has just started doing.

Just being able to go out on the patio and to sit in my chair and to be able to look up at the stars. Missed being able to do that so much, and the other night, I was looking up at the sky, and saw a shooting star!

The feeling of the wind when a storm is blowing in and the lightning across the sky. Going for a drive for no other reason than to simply drive. Discovering a new song that resonates with me and my feelings.

Seeing any person with Down syndrome. They remind me of my daughter.

No kidding, yesterday evening, 3 of my cats were twitching all over in the front window, and when I went to the window I had about 150 birds in my front yard. Mostly sparrows, bouncing around in the fresh mown grass, but I also had about a dozen ring necked doves, some blue jays, a wood pecker, a couple thrush, some wrens, and some cardinals. My azaleas and hedges were "alive". I stood at the kitchen window and watched for about 15 minutes. It really made me happy yesterday.

I'm starting work again tonight and I can't wait. I'm hopeful one time I go the little one I work with will have his first smile
