I am happy that it is a quiet afternoon and I have some peace. I am in the middle of a Rx med research for a brand of allergy pill that does not have any fillers I am allergic to... but decided to take an afternoon off.

Watching my dog dig a hole so deep only the tip of her tail showed and she came out covered in dirt and "smiling" from head to tail!

I teach band, so I love watching the teenagers I teach get excited because they learned something new on their instrument.

Calling my daughter to make a coffee date and she says yes. My husband who stays home and is supportive of this.

Spending some time with my daughter and my grandaughters today. I am so looking forward to that.

Getting up early and walking my dogs while its still dark. Nice.

Someone coming into my office various times a day with a big smile on his face and nice little things to say that make me feel very good.

Let's not forget the pizza delivery guy who will hopefully show up soon on my doorstep.

Oh, and my dad who called and asked how it went at his party ("it" being me and my PTSD). Sweet.

Gabbing with students about their musical interests. Many of them are so open-minded to all sorts of styles. They're so refreshing from the days that I remember when you were almost in gang fights on the schoolyard: the rockers against the disco-ers and the country-ers, too. I have students write on their favorite musicians/groups and they'll add things like: Elvis + Johnny Cash + Beyoncé + Coldplay + Miles Davis. Wow! I love that about them!
