Well, then @Ayesha, certainly don't stress about not stressing about getting straight A's! LOL! I'm just joking around. Y'know, straight A's always made me very happy. I get it. I just know that I set unreasonable expectations for myself, and when I stop doing that, well... as hard as it is, it's been nice, too. But it doesn't exactly happen overnight. ;)I wish I could. :( I try but so far I haven't been able to.
And remember Eleanor Roosevelt's quote... "Do one thing every day that scares you." It might be scary to go to college, but it will also be exciting and fun and fulfilling and all those things are really good and worth working through the difficulties, at least I think so.
Hahaha! Yeah, me, too. It's okay. You just want things to work out. I really think they will. :) Don't give up! And y'know what else -- you're right and your husband is wrong. ;) Baby steps are the way to go. Be confident in yourself, because you're right. You can think more long term after you've successfully finished a class or two. There's plenty of time. Maybe your husband was trying to encourage you by getting excited and talking details... and didn't mean to make you worry. (I mean... maybe you can think something like that... the best spin on the situation, if you know what I mean. My husband does that to me sometimes... he jumps steps ahead when I'm struggling with making just one step. I try to think that's because he's so confident I'm going to be successful that he starts to think about what will be next after that. ;))Yup, that's me. Worrying about something that hasn't happened yet.
And I agree with @Candleflames. Be excited. Be happy. But stick to what you decided... two classes, whichever two make sense. And definitely sign up for all three so you get your choice, and just drop whichever of the three you decide isn't the right one this time around. As for the history class... see, I love history and I would be all excited, too... but maybe it's nice that the other two classes are right next to each other and that's easier? Really, though I don't think you can go wrong, as long as you don't try to do too much. I bet that history class will be there next semester.
You're making me think I really wanna go take a college course, too. You've inspired me. Maybe not right this second, but soon. It's so overwhelming to me, though! I hate forms and paperwork and registering and all that. Course work doesn't worry me as much... it's the getting setup stuff that's too much. ;)
I'm excited for you. You're gonna do great! :joyful:
