I agree with what you guys are saying. Another thing these days that I am completely shocked over is where we have boots on the ground theses days. THere are troops all over hell. And not one bit of info or justification to the public. Add private forces and this has really gone out of control. Jordan. WTF are we doing in Jordan. Somalia. We are building an air and operations base in the North. Gonna put 5000 troops there. What?

And I would not be very surprised if.......once again......there is a small group of advisors in Vietnam.

Just some food for thought. The private security company's are willing to hire anyone for the job. They like to put new untrained guys through a crash course in combat tactics and they put them under the tutelage of trained former military types.
I wont say they are all f*cked in the head but a lot of the guys we had as drops ended up in contractor jobs after they served. I am not say everyone, I am saying a large part of them were not the cream of the crop. unless we are talking curdled cream.
There are good guys doing it as well. Just not that many.
You can look at some of the incidents that have occurred with contractors to grasp that the issue also goes to the companies desire to save money in the field and max out profits at the expense of getting quality weapons and properly armored transport.
To say the company's are filling a need kinda reminds me of the KBR shit.
How the military used to use its engineer units to provide drinking water and showers. Mess units for food. Not anymore. Now its all civilians. And the reason is to reduce the overall number of troops that are in theater. Its not needed services, it political. And it costs us as taxpayers a lot more money that if the military just did it. Also the services provided are substandard and the military that are in theater suffer for it. Its total BS. Contractors are not needed.
The military should just have the proper amount of support troops performing the task they always have. And if you need more combat arms to do the job then use them.
Or maybe don't go in at all in the first place. It would have been cheaper for the government to pay .50 cents back to the civilian population for the raise in gas prices than to have this crap happen.

I spent last Nov in Vietnam & ran into a lot of US military pers. Mostly, young guys (the haircuts gave them away) looking for R&R spots. But also many DOD/senior mil types, the kind that you can always spot by their kahki chinos, button-down collar blue shirt, LL Bean jackets, etc. US businesses are everywhere.

Damn steve. That didn't take long. It was thick with Germans and Belgiuns in 2009. It was only a matter of time. Nice and cozy next to China.

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."
Farewell Address
President Dwight D. Eisenhower
17 January 1961

"The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. The banking powers are more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy. They denounce as public enemies all who question their methods or throw light upon their crimes. I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me and the bankers in the rear. Of the two, the one at my rear is my greatest foe."
Abraham Lincoln

Lincoln knew how to evaluate his enemies. The banking industry is truly amazing in its capacity to take advantage of all, contribute little or nothing in the way of production and avoid responsibility for its actions.

Investment bankers were responsible for the 2008 crash through use of derivitives. Those most responsible made fortunes at the expense of honest investors all over the world. Yet, nothing was done stop or punish the worst of the offenders.

That's because FISA is made up of bankers and stock brokers! Give them three days and they can mix up a war or just oppress our own citizens with the wave of a wand.

I like the Ike quote and I agree that the banks and industry dictate the nation. Hell, congress is bought, the President is bought. Even if he is not to begin with somebody takes him into a small room and shows him a film of the Kennedy asassination from an angle nobody has ever seen before. "Any questions buddy.....you do what we tell you to do" (got that from Bill Hicks 20 years ago. RIP)

Unfortunately I don't thiink vigilance, protests or voting is going to stop this anymore. We passed a point of no return awhile ago.

Wagon you are 100% correct in this! The only way to stop it will be guys like us, more so the younger ones, as I am getting to old. However I am ready for it when it comes!!!

We here in the good old USA have evolved into a nation controlled by blood suckers and carpetbaggers to the advantage of blood suckers and carpetbaggers. They use honorable warriors like an expendable tool that's simply relaced when it gets dull.
