Do the admins of this forum have some pull in 'that' forum? If so can someone pull some strings for a Combat PTSD related section for carers. I understand that trauma is trauma, but 'that' forum seems predominately for non-combat related PTSD.

There has already been a discussion about this. They have more than pull, they own the forum.
If you just go to the supporters section and start a thread in relation to Combat related PTSD, I am sure all the supporters of veterans will reply to you.

PTSD Forum is not Combat PTSD, however; as stated above, supporters don't have PTSD period, and the supporters at PTSD Forum are across vast spectrums of trauma, a good majority actually do surround combat PTSD... the supporters on PTSD Forum are a minority outside of Combat PTSD supporters.
