So... my vet finally saw his psychiatrist after 6 months. This is the only health professional he sees for his PTSD. He is not medicated. The doc saw him for about 30 minutes. I can't imagine that is enough time to talk about anything. When I asked my vet what the doc had to say his only reply was "he says I should travel more". FFS.
The last time he saw him 6 months ago he (apparently - I've never gone with him) told the doc about his anger issues and the doc's advice was "go for a walk when you get angry". FFS.
I feel like this is kinda "off the back of a cereal box" advice for people having a bad day rather than treatment for a serious mental illness.
I bet he's not telling the doc the half of it. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
