So, as usual, in therapy today we spent about the first third of the session ranting about Trump. I had sent her an email this weekend venting about that video because I was just beside myself.I had even forgotten about that incident of being groped like that. She still has no remedy except to limit my exposure, which I've been doing. I haven't watched MSNBC since the end of the debate. Four more weeks to go.
I do not want to see clips of the debate with him abusively looming behind Clinton and scowling. And I sure don't want to see his surrogates talking about this as something that happened in an alternate reality where he was the good guy.
The only TV I plan on watching tonight is The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. He's brilliant and always makes me laugh.
I think a good strategy is to focus our attention on good men, whether in our personal lives or in the public eye. They're out there. For one example, Trevor Noah. Then there's a new video on CNN of Robert De Niro saying he wants to punch Trump in the face. I haven't been able to get it to work, but it's there. Also, Paul Ryan finally disendorsed Trump. Since I haven't been watching the news or looking at news websites today, there may well be more examples. Oh, just thought of another one. My therapist said lots of NFL players have come out denouncing Trump, saying they LIVE in locker rooms and they don't talk like that.
