I decided since D will be gone awhile I should try something I've always wanted to try; Bikram Yoga. I have my first class after work at 1830 tonight. I am pretty nervous. I have always been a runner...you can do that alone and no one watches! I signed up and paid online so I wouldn't chicken out as easily.
Nervous!

Sounds great that you are doing this. Yes, you are nervous but I think it's great that you are doing something lile this for YOU.

Oh my. That was hard! I was silly for being nervous about the situation, I should have been worried about DYING.

I have been in boot camp, police academy, I run races, marathons do all kinds of ridiculous stressful and physical police training....and this YOGA (granted in 105 degree F, 40% humidity) killed me. I did kinda forget about the whole pacemaker thing affecting the way I handle the heat now. (If only my heart hadn't stopped and stuttered so much, low blood pressure was actually perfect for surviving desert heat, not liking this normal blood pressure setting, oh well). I did stop and rest a bit here and there and somehow managed to not run out of the room with a panic attack...

I will go back though. I wanted a challenge and something new, and this fits. I just really hope I don't umm..."lose my cookies" after class again.

Oh that made me smile! I did a Pilates class a little while ago and I was awful at it. I joined the gym back in March and then work got really busy and I hadn't been for nearly two months when I went again last week - my legs turned to jelly after five minutes, my head started to spin and I felt so ill!!!!! How unfit am I??? Well done for getting though it - and for making plans to go and do it all over again!!!

LAA, keep it up! I too, recently discovered this and it has done wonders for me both physically and emotionally! I did realize it makes me more emotional (especially after class) but they are usually healthy, happy emotions....and it's such a GREAT workout! :)

Thx for the encouragement Penguin! I did go back last night and did sooo much better, sooo glad I went back. I couldn't make it today but I am going back tomorrow!
