New Here
I'm new to this. I am a Vietnam vet. I was a Sea Bee. I have what I lived with PTSD for over 40 years before I sought help. After a 4 year battle the VA says I;m 100%. I think I have been blessed. The only goal I have now is to help other veterans.
I am a peer to peer facilitator at the AGIF here in San Antonio. As I have a talent for public speaking
I want to speak to groups about the problems our returning warriors face today. I know what a soldier faces if he goes through his chain of command seeking help for PTSD. I know that employers
can't ask if you have PTSD and you don"t have to tell anyone you do have if if you do. But employers are ignorant and so afraid of PTSD they are not hiring veterans period. This is wrong and must change. I don't want to see what happened after Vietnam to happen again. I also know that with proper treatment PTSD can be managed. I am living proof1

Welcome Terry,

This is all the forum is about, helping people to manage and live with PTSD.

By all means, offer your opinions but remember that it takes a while for the whole trust thing to happen on this forum like anywhere.

We have veterans from all over the world and from conflicts such as Vietnam, Somalia, Rwanda, Iraq, East Timor, Afghanistan and many more.

By the way, the book below would be an awesome one to have in your collection.
