I found out that I have latent TB. I testesed positive after Africa with the arm test they said it was a false positive. Then many times after I would still get a false positive as they would call it from the VA. Then they said I had asma, then infasima, and I had started smoking about four years ago so they then said I had COPD. I'm on 3 types of inhalers two of them twice a day and one when needed. A differerant Dr. I seen last month said wait a minute have you aver been treated for TB. I said no they always even in my ETS physical it was a false positive. He said I have a big suspicion I want to do a special blood test to check something. I said OK. I went to get my test results after my upper and lower GI. I should have known there was something up because two nurses took me to a back conference room to explain. Oh guess what you had TB we don't know for how long but it is in the latent stage (non contageous but can activate fairly easy) said so you are not contages. The Dr. said I should have been treated the first positive 1995. My oldest son has a cough pretty regular he was born in 1996. I now get to take another med. for 6 to 9 months call my ex tell her she has to get tested and my boys all have to be tested. I have had pnuemonia 5 times since 94 and broncile problems more than I can count. I ask well aren't you responcible for the all those I exsposed over the years? They said I shouldn't worry about that a cough only goes out 10 to 14 inches so I shouldn't worry. It's in my records of all the false positives. I was still loopy from being under because it took 5 adult doses plus something else and benadril to nock me out. So this was really upsetting me like I just wanted to die alls I could think about call it selfish was my kids. Just hope my 15 yr. old has allergies and not TB. I will be in prison or locked down in the nut house again. This all happened at the same houspital that had given me arm test through the years and also told me eventually that I should have never been taking the arm test because it could reactivate the TB I was only aloud chest exrays had even put me in an MRI to disect my lungs years and years ago. When this could have been answered by a simple blood test of 4 viles the only definitive way to diagnose TB. Since I have no idea how long it has been latent I have no idea who I got if any so depression is setting in pretty bad. The med can trigger it to become active so watch for symtems and contact them emediatlly. I can't take most pain meds for my back that is degenerating. The only good thing is my ex allready hates me. P.S. I get to add a new Dr. to my list to see infectious disease controll Dr. They wound why I can't work btween the meds and apointments there is no time either dizzy or at the Doc's.
