U.s. eclipse

@lostforgottensoul during an eclipse the sunlight through the trees turns into crescents. Kind of like a pin hole box but on the ground. The crescents get wider as less of the sun is covered. It's pretty amazing.

At a state park south of Louisville, we were in the 96% zone and had a picnic lunch under some black walnut trees. Nice event, dare I hope to see the one in 2024? (I'll be 64 if I live that long)

Two of the next celestial events - both asteroids one around the 1st of September and the other 12th of October or so. The one in October will be close... between earth and Moon.

64 is young! It's the new 44! I hope I'll be around, that will make 3 I've seen! I get so excited about this kind of thing. It sounded wonderful to picnic and watch, did you bring a sweater?

Ahahaha! And I just learn pointing a camera at the sun ruins the sensors. Doh! Me, the researcher that brags about research misses a complete obvious one! Oops! Though I took video today and it seemed fine but time will tell. Didn't like the phone anyway! :facepalm:
