I don't know if there was any covered but I was amazed I could take a picture of the sun this early in the day. So I think it was much dimmer. Kinda sucks we didnt get any coverage but oh well!

Isn't nature amazing?

Yes it is! I LOVE the green one! They are all so different!

I can't find a link yet, but anyone interested might look for this on the CNN website later. A commentator watched the eclipse from a helicopter over Charleston, SC, and she was fascinating (to me,anyway). She studied ancient cultures and talked a lot about how eclipses in the ancient world affected people and influenced major events like wars. It was kind of like being able to sit in on a class. Sorry that I didn't catch her name.

100% Totality was totally AWESOME. I think it was the most fascinating thing I have ever seen in my life, and I have seen 100% totality once before, when I was 8 yrs old. I am now in my mid-60s. I watched it with the protective glasses until I could see nothing. THEN I looked at it with my own eyes. WOW! I was speechless. I still am. God is so awesome. FOr this to have come together the way it did, He had to have done some really heavy figuring. Then again, He is all powerful and can make something like this happen with the snap of His fingers! One girl said we had a GLOW all around the horizon. I wish I had looked at that. I didn't see it! But I believe her.

I did see the planet, I believe it was Jupiter, to the upper left of the sun/moon. That was while it was at totality.

We had great weather and clear skies. I must admit, though, that the sky was kind of eerie both before and after totality and for quite some time each way. I saw a kind of grayness in the sky at those times. We did not have the ability to see the stars though, because the street lights came on! That ruined it a little, but they are automatic and it was not possible for that to be changed.
