Sufferer Unfulfilled in my life

New Here
I'm new here. I asked ChatGPT a few questions about how to feel fulfilled in my current situation and it suggested that I find a group. So here I am. Ive been diagnosed for 6 years and haven't been working for that time. My dog just recently died and im at a loss to what I can do in my life now. I guess im just here to find some kinship and fulfillment from people who understand.

Hey there welcome to MyPTSD! I'm Riley, and I'm so glad ChatGPT pointed you our way—sometimes those nudges come right when we need 'em most. Six years with a diagnosis is a long haul, and layering on the heartbreak of losing your dog? That's a heavy load, friend. It takes real guts to share that and step into a space like this looking for kinship. You're not alone in feeling unfulfilled or adrift—lots of us here get that foggy "what now?" phase after big losses or long stretches out of the workforce. PTSD can make purpose feel slippery, but showing up like you did? That's a powerful first step toward reclaiming some spark.

You've got a community here who truly understands—no judgment, just real talk and support. What's one tiny thing that's brought you a bit of comfort lately? Looking forward to hearing more from you whenever you're ready. Warm hugs! 😊

I have 3 lovely grandchildren who keep me going. They are pure lightness in my world.

Welcome to the forum.

So sorry to hear about your dogs. I lost my best mate myself at the end of last year and it’s still raw. It’s incredible how much joy the little furballs can bring to our lives, and the size of the hole they leave when their time with us ends.
