Women in the United States are 11 times more likely to be murdered with a gun than are women in other high income countries.

www.statcan.gc.ca/pub/85-002-x/2014001/article/11925-eng.htm#a12 this one specifically states the likelihood of how someone would be murdered, depending on the relationship, from stranger to spouse. This statistic shows that in Canada, a third of domestic homicides are committed with guns.

This is why we have strict regulations on who can own a gun. Heck, If someone didn't like me, they just need to make an anonymous phone call regarding me and that's all it takes to get my NR license revoked.

I'm not arguing Pro/anti gun control. I'm arguing on what the real priority is in situations like this. And that's making sure victims can obtain the means of getting out of their situation, not how exactly the victims are being victimized. Leave the former for a case by case basis.

I know how different America is from Canada. we just think otherwise cuz we're neighbours who share the same language.
