Have you got a source for that?
Here ya go: Ukraine - Anti-corruption court launches investigation on Poroshenko and Obama | Donbass Insider I had others but I'm in some other discussions now. This one though has screen grabs of the documents. Like I said the Ukrainian opposition parliament deputy posted this information on his Facebook page, along with copies of the documents proving his claims.

The thing that makes Ukraine immensely interesting so far as US politics goes is the amount of missing US Aid, loans, pay for play, corruption, money laundering... and the fact that the US has an agreement: Treaty with Ukraine on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Rather than all the Russia stuff... Ukraine and China are under some pretty intense scrutiny.

RE: The Supreme Court taking up an electoral college suit.. I understand that there are 4 others (maybe more) but this one is on the docket.

Thanks!

Interesting web site. I try to remember to ask myself "Who said this, and do they have a dog in the fight?" when reading articles. I didn't find a lot of info on that site about who's behind it, but I did find out that "Donbass" is a name that some people use for a part of the Ukraine that's involved in their conflict with Russia. That, by itself, doesn't say anything about the credibility of the site, but it does make me wonder if the agenda is accurate journalism or something else. I honestly don't know. And, There's a limit to have much time and effort I want to devote to finding out. For now, I'm just going to think of it as "interesting".

I'm not even sure what language the screen grab is in, much less can I read it, but a bit of it was apparently translated.

"Renat Kuzmin, a Ukrainian MP from the opposition platform For Life, said the Anti-Corruption High Court of Ukraine (VASU) has ordered the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) to launch an investigation on the country’s coup and corruption, in which the names of former Ukrainian President Petr Poroshenko, former US President Barack Obama, and former US Vice President Joe Biden are mentioned. "

I don't know a thing about the MP mentioned, so, again, I have no idea whether or not he has an agenda that might make him want to spin things in a particular direction. But, I'd be more surprised if a document pertaining to the time period of the revolution DIDN'T refer to those guys. They were all in office at the time.

I sincerely hope the current Ukrainian president turns out to be a decent leader and that corruption and maleficence get rooted out, there and everywhere else too.

Rumors have abounded... and Gov. Northham has been busy. Eyes today are on Richmond VA's "Lobby Day".
"Richmond for Virginia's "Lobby Day" gun rights rally, taking place in Capitol Square. Demonstrators are preparing for "Lobby Day," which is set to start at 11 a.m. Jan. 20 is traditionally known as "Lobby Day" in Richmond, but with Governor Ralph Northam and a Democratic majority set to roll out tighter gun-safety legislation, those in favor of gun rights are turning out around the Virginia Capitol to press their case against it."

The set up/venue closely resembles Charlotte. The event will be a tense situation by most all accounts.

Note: Contrary to MSM coverage... though 2nd amendment rights is no doubt the core issue of the rally due to Northam's fast track policy making since election. Other issues, largely unreported include issues with the state legislature which is fast changing the state:
  • SJ 6: Increases the term limit of the governor from 4 to 8 years.
  • SJ 8: Allows felons and those declared mentally incompetent to vote.
  • SJ14: Restores voting rights to convicted felons.
  • SJ 29: The governor to be elected by majority of votes in congressional districts, NOT by statewide majority.
  • SB 65: Eliminates photo ID requirement for voting.
  • SB 399: VA's electoral college votes to be awarded to the winner of the national popular vote.
So... for various reasons other than the 2nd amendment issues Virginians and various organizations are highly vested in today's Lobby Day.

State of Emergency was declared by Gov. Northam ahead of the event. At least three credible threats against rally speakers have been made.

Airspace over Richmond is a No Fly Zone.

Impeachment begins in the Senate 1pm EST. How will SCOTUS Chief Justice Roberts perform. Eyes on Roberts. Roberts has a black eye re: FISA courts. So far as the right he's compromised. How will he preside?

11 Amendments up... 11 amendments down it along partisan lines yesterday. Yesterday was supposed to be procedural but Dems siezed the day and took advantage of the optics rightly knowing viewership would be up. It looked like House Managers were doing opening arguments... but they were able with impunity to have a field day even to the point of bringing in the Parnas stuff which is not even part of their case/legal brief. Chief Justice Roberts is the man to watch.

UK daily mail and USA today both have pretty good rundowns considering.

Gotta hand it to the Dems... they're always on the attack, aware of viewership, and gettin' those optics. Much ado being made about POTUS's "defense" yesterday... but yesterday was procedural. It wasn't about allowing witnesses even. It was about WHEN witnesses may be called. Dems (I want it all, I want it all, I want it all, I want it now)… Turtle... next week after opening arguments.

Yes, I am interested in the procedural aspect too. I found this interesting

John Roberts Doesn't Have to Play by Mitch McConnell's Rules

frankly I find the bipartisan posturing pretty tiresome and switched off yesterday. I want to move into a time where politics is about policy.

I think situations like this show flaws in the justice system because if it’s divided by impartiality at the top why would it not be in little county courts? Leaders ( on both sides) showing how not to do it is pretty depressing!
