I did, too. It was just so wonderful to hear fellow Americans cry out against fascism and neo Nazis.

We went out to eat earlier, and there was this 10year old kid making racist comments. I came so close to losing my temper with his mother. Instead I just spoke loudly, to my husband about how any one who makes racist comments makes you an ally of murders. After the fact I thought of better ways to handle it, but it was too late.

More than ever we need to speak up and speak out against racist bullshit. With Trump practically giving racists a green light to kill we have to be more vocal about no tolerance for racism.

While I sort of understand parts of what Trump was saying..... that there was violence on both sides. Yes, violence should never be condoned. But his speech didn't get that message out IMO!!!! I feel he gave the alt right an open invitation to do whatever.

I'm just so sick of the tough talk, the defiance coming from his mouth and the bully pulpit rantings. It seems like everyday it's something new he's spewing his crap about.

I'm just glad that many people are seeing this and leaving positions within his so called councils. 4 left yesterday.

I think it's good to see how many politicians actually have a sense of ethics and the backbone to walk away from what they know is wrong.

I didn't think there was so much backbone on Capitol Hill.
I knew the people of America are capable of good ethical choices, you can see it everyday in the news if you are looking for it. Or here, from the people of this forum.

But who knew that many politicians still remember how to be people? Amazing!

I'm getting pretty nervous, you guys. After seeing an article yesterday about an alt-right guy saying he was glad Heather Heyer was killed, I edited my FB page to delete the name of town I live in. I've been throwing caution to the winds and sometimes speaking out in comments sections of blogs and articles. I live in Trump country where a lot of people have guns. On the other hand, it's a small town and the lack of widespread anonymity keeps the vast majority on good behavior almost all the time, but one never knows.

The governor of Charlottesville has come out and said that Trumps speech yesterday was WRONG, and that the protest was an alt right protest. Others have come out and said, that there are no good KKK, no good white supremacist and that Trumps speech was wrong.

When are the republicans going to do more than just tweet how bad things are and f*cking get backbones and DO whats right!! !!

Wait a minute. Did president Trump just call white supremacists fine people? Yes, yes he did.

I'm not surprised. I'm tired. The antifa is terrible and dangerous. But damn, the NAZIS and the KKK ate racists who carried torches and one of them murdered someone and injured so many others. This was domestic terrorism and it's totally the wrong place and time to try to call out out the dangers of the antifa.

And frankly, they didn't kill anyone. And no, I don't care how bad the antifa is, it doesn't make the KKK and Nazis fine people. Every elected official that does not condemn Trump's remarks should be voted out of office.

In the middle of this I also think it's very important to remember the antifa and the alt right are a very small minority of Americans and the vast majority of Americans are every day people who don't even hesitate to condemn Nazis and the KKK.

How wonderful.... 8 of Trumps CEO councils quit today, so like a baby Trump ended the entire CEO council, and said he didn't want to put any pressure on CEO's. NOW! If we could only get some of the GOP to stand up and say we're done with you and your racist attitude and really take a stand, maybe things would change!!!!!
