No. I'm not kidding.

I believe it was very much scripted. It's right in line with the bannonist ide...
I am not shocked, I am disgusted. And it was expected (refer to my earlier thread post). That said, I do not believe a portion of the commentary was planned, but was instead an obviously reckless and blatant threat intended by none other than Trump. Who has time and again, proven himself depths beneath an ethical contemporary political theater. There is a difference...

Me too! And, is nice that there's SOME good news in the news.
@hodge , I heard that the Rocket Man line actually WAS in the script. It was a late change, added by The Trump.

And, one again, they're after health care. :( This time, I'm afraid they'll get it through. They have the fig leaf of being able to say they're giving the money to the states, so any problems are on the states. Except, of course, they're cutting the money to the states.

I haven't seen one person/government official on the news saying they liked his speech. Right now Madeleine Albright is on saying how bad it was, his language was so bad as was the tone. I will say it again, I think Trump is baiting North Korea to make a move. I think that Trump is itching to "show" the world what a big man he is and in turn he's trying to send a message to the countries that are not our allies. Iran etc....

He doesn't care that our men and women will be out there fighting, as long as he can prove a point.

I pray everyday that Meuller gets him, or he just dies in his sleep.....

I can see why someone would reasonably believe (and hope!) that the Rocket Man comments were off the cuff. He is not actually the first to use that term, but some economics and business leaders have used it in the past. Like here: Trump Isn't the First To Call a North Korean Leader "Rocket Man."

Trump also called terrorist "losers" and talked about nations "going to hell." And it's typical Trumpian speech writing. Here's one such analysis: Link Removed

I do not agree with these assessments but here are two of many people who think it was a great speech:
Trump’s new nickname, ‘Rocket Man,’ for Kim Jong Un is brilliant
And
Netanyahu: Trump Gave Boldest, Most Courageous Speech at UN that I Ever Heard

Again, I do not think it was a great speech. I do see why Netanyahu appreciated it in the way he did. I think Rocket Man and so much of the speech was sloppy terminology. I'm outraged he would threaten to kill millions while using nicknames... Many Trump supporters believe it was a brilliant and well done speech -- inside and outside of government. It's stunning and heartbreaking.

. As I don't watch every news station, 24/7 I was only stating what I've seen.

I would think that a lot of Trump supporters would agree with his speech. They are blind to his narcissistic ways, his bully tactics, his misogynistic behavior, his rude and crude behavior. His speech, his talking, his wording, his verbiage, all of it sickens me and is so far from presidential that all I can think of is a bully hillbilly with a suit on.

I watched a news clip of all of the leaders walking down a hallway after the speech or sometime during the 2 days shindig in NY, and Trump was among them. Everyone was laughing and talking to others, while Trump was in the middle of all of these people but no one was talking to him. He was alone in the sea of people, kind of fitting IMO!!!

Argh!!! If they really did give that money to the states then ok, great! But they are not. They are trying to do the worst of every option.

And once again, while they're claiming no money for the most basic of things, like health care, housing, hunger, clean water and air, and such, and keeping people distracted by their sickening and childish theatrics, the senate has approved a bill to pump 700 billion into the military. Where many folks think there's actual integrity and "good" causes being fought...not looking too far behind the scenes to see the real deals going down. Not even believing the ones who've been there and try to come back to share the real deal as it truly is, not as it's portrayed throughout the entertainment industry. Truth seems to be the only enemy we're facing nowadays. At what point will folks finally say enough is enough? They seem to not really give a flying f*ck about the people who vote them into their positions, yet many of those same people continue to strongly believe if they could just get the right one into that seat, all would be fine and dandy, for a change. Reminds me of a circus-like song from back in the day that goes something like, "Welcome, my friends, to the show that never ends....."
