Those are migrant workers. Here legally.

I was in a bad place a few years back. Went to see if I could get food stamps. The first question on the form was are you a migrant worker? Not were you born here. Not how long have you been a US citizen.

BTW I was born here and they gave me $13 dollars a month. Thirteen!!!

✌ out.

The conflict over who gets to receive government handouts and how extensive those handouts should be....

Leads to some very unpleasant places.

The first place in the modern world with extensive handouts (technically they were ponzi schemes rather than largesse) was Germany, under Bismark.

As soon as such schemes begin, the conflicts begin over who gets them, how much and for what. Human wants are virtually limitless, the resources to fulfil them are always scarce, so conflict and dissatisfaction are inevitable.

A politician isn't going to admit that the schemes are fundamentally until workable, instead, they're likely to cast blame around.

1) the schemes are being administered by incompetents
2) the funds are being wasted on the undeserving
3) the system is basically sound, but it is being sabotaged by people's who hate us.

Germany was the first place to have big state welfare schemes, and a major factor in elections was addressing those three points

The national socialist German workers party, proposed
1) themselves as the competent people to manage and expandemic the schemes
2) the disabled and non aryans as the ones who were wasting funds that could better be spent on healthy Germans
3) yes, the schemes were being sabotaged, as was the rest of the country, by an international conspiracy.

Just compare those points with some of the points raised in recent posts and consider where they lead to in Germany

First, disabled people were euthainised, minority groups were prevented from working... people's ancestries were officially scruitinised... you know fine well where it ended up

Please guys, edjumicate yourselves, it really can happen in America.

As long as they're legal immigrants. Not a problem.

If any one of us went to any country illegally, what do you think would happen? Would they give us jobs, food, welfare, an education?

The early proposers of minimum wages were fairly open about their aims, a good example would be British fabian socialist, Sydney Webb.

The aim was to price ethnic minorities, women and other vulnerable groups in the workplace OUT OF WORK.

It was to raise wages to a point where it was totally unattractive to employ them.

I disagree with their aims, but I agree with their analysis of the effects.

Just consider how many people would still have jobs if the minimum wage was raised to $100 an hour, or even better, let's not be so stingy. Lets end poverty and raise it to $1M an hour.

Americans aren't the only ones who swallowed the kool aid about minimum wages and entitlement schemes. No wonder there are a lot of migrants, whether for work or for welfare

Where is the actual difference between people, or goods crossing one line or another

Why not prohibited work and trade across the line that's painted down the middle of every road,

Why not use emotive language for people who live the wrong side of the road, and start referring to them as aliens and illegals if they cross the road?

Link Removed Can you imagine if all of the 12.5 million illegals went on STRIKE and didn’t go to work for maybe a week?!??! Imagine how fast this country would be in deep shit!!!!

Rachael Brand is leaving the DOJ... scary!!!!,
