Valentine's Day Celebrations 2012

Oh I am so jealous of the concert tickets! Have fun and post pictures from the front row!

I am not holding my breath for flowers, chocolate or even a card after he didn't get me a Christmas gift, but we made plans to go to dinner and a friend of mine is in a musical and gave us tickets ... "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change." Luckily it is a romantic comedy but the title is still a little awkward! LOL! I invited him to go and it is not "technically" a Valentine's date, but I am going to call it that to make myself feel better.

We have cards and a few little bits and pieces for each other on the day however the most exciting event is the Frontline Ball in Darwin to remember the bombing of Darwin. It is held at the convention centre and we are staying in a nice hotel.

5 years of marriage and 11years of being together. This all being within all encompassing PTSD symptoms remissions and distortions...I feel so lost and blessed at the same time.

Do I feel it would be easier alone? Yes, sometimes I do. Would I want that? No, never! I don't know what I did right accept to believe I somehow deserved this and therefore for got it so therefore ended up with both the best and the most difficult to deal with.

On (almost) Valentine's Day I say I am the most blessed person on earth to have come through so much and come out the other end with a partner I not only love but like. Someone who I knows likes me despite my shortcomings.
What a gift that is!!!

I wish this for all.

We're going out for dinner tonight... and on Valentine's night I will be putting together a HUGE quote for his work that is coming in for a 12 hour turn around - yay! Not!!!
