So, cool, hinds_feet. I'm over 40 and my teddies are still a part of my life--literally traveled cross country with a very large teddie in the passenger seat! I learned as a child that I was destined to forge and walk my own path in life, so I embrace being slightly "unusual" or should I say, atypical.
And, you are so right about absolutely needing the comfort and validation that only comes from talking with others of similar experiences. I feel almost incapable of dealing with anyone else--can't tolerate it right now.
