Anyone else on this medication? My P is slowly taking me off Paxil and Quetiapine (sereqol) along with adding this.

If you are on this please let me know if it has helped with depression/anxiety/mood or just your general experience with this medication.

Hi,
I am sorry that I am not going to tell you anything useful here. I was surprised that I had never heard of this drug, but it would seem to be because it is only licensed for use in the US. I could not even find if there is a plan to launch it in the UK, EU or elsewhere, which is strange as it was developed in Germany. Guess that is just the way these big drug companies work.

Yeah, I looked it up as well. It's a new drug. My P is good at keeping up with research so it doesn't surprise me. I found a forum on here about it and read some reviews from people online. It seems like it is helpful.

It's mainly for people who have tried a lot of anti-depressants and haven't found one that's just right. And I have been on several since I was 14 years old. He wasn't even going to tell me about it because he thought I only had student health insurance but I have health insurance through my parents as well. The pharmacy had to pre-authorize it too.

I gained 15lbs on my other medicines and told him I didn't appreciate it. This one is nice because most antidepressants make you gain weight and this one isn't like that.

I am glad that you are going to get to try this. Weight gain can be such a problem, and if this one does not do that, it helps you to try it with a more positive outlook from the start. Good luck. I look forward to you telling us how you get on with it in due course.

This med. is similar to Effexor, which works well for anxiety and major depressive dissorder. These do work well for people who other anti-depressants don't work as well.

I'm on my third week of viibryd, can't tell if it's working yet. The starter side effects weren't as horrid as I'd expected. You've read the reviews so I'll spare the details, but the stomach and digestive issues eased up pretty quickly. I've had a really hard time finding the right medication- most haven't helped and the one that did messed with another medical issue. Can't say if it's a good one for me yet, but it's not bad.

I have been feeling a little weird and irritable, it's only been a few days though. I have also started college back up (it's been 3 month since I have been in class and 3 months of internal healing) and noticed how much better i was in public, I talked in front of 50 people today. Also, I returned to the church I was baptized in joined a student program there and 1. I went by myself 2. I was relaxed and calmer than I have ever been in public. I can't tell if it is from the internal healing I have worked and dedicated 3 months too or this medication.

But yes I had stomach issues, today is my first day without it and honestly it wasn't that bad. A little nausea/dizzy after I did yoga, but not too bad.

What time of day do you take yours? I've been taking it with dinner, it's the only real meal I eat, but I'm starting to wonder if that's why I haven't been sleeping. Tomorrow I'm going to try having breakfast and taking it then. My usual morning snack wasn't enough to balance out the belly effects.

I take it before bed. I usually wake up with stomach issues in the morning though. I feel like im extremely happy and running a million miles an hour. Last night I kinda had some anxiety but got over it fast. And im easily aggitated around this time of the evening (530pm). The last couple of nights. Seeing my p next week though.
