I believe it can!
I've 3 friends I met in a training for CPTSD sufferers. It makes my life so much better to have these people to relate to and also to have the possibility to mirror my thinking and actions.

I also found this forum helpful already, because I somehow need to see it's not that abnormal to react to my trauma's the way I do.

You are normal for what you have been through. You are not alone. Anyone in your shoes would do the same things. I am glad you have real people in your life that understands.

I'm really glad about that too, because I always felt very lonely and also guilty about lots of things (the trauma to have happened, me to not being able to handle it and the fact that the way I am complicates things for others sometimes...) Now I don't feel that anymore :) At least not in such a destructive way. I'm still sad about these things somedays, but more in a mourning way.

Thanks so much for your words, Gizmo!:D

This one is specialized in trauma and PTSD

Hello, Vynne If I have learned nothing else in my journey with PTSD, the most important thing I"ve learned is the importance of having a therapist who actually understands trauma and PTSD. I was misdiagnosed by every therapist I worked with across the 27 years I have suffered with panic attacks (and the other escalated progressive symptoms) until I finally received the right diagnosis...which changes everything else. Treatments are different. Approaches are different. Understanding symptoms are different. So it sounds like you're on the right track!

And welcome to the forum...you won't have to explain much to the rest of us here. I hope you find what you need :)
