Congratulations. That is great! I have 2. I babysit 1 5 days a week, she's almost 3. The 6 month old I only see once or twice a month. It's a second chance - I am trying to be a better grandma than I was a mom. Enjoy.

We became first-time grandparents last August and just had a visit from the little one. There is nothing like being a grandparent :-). I'm Nana and hubby is Grandpa.

Nina sounds nice :) In Croatian we have a similar word nena for grandma :P

Yes, it can take awhile. Early ultrasounds in my stepdaughter's case indicated a boy, but she had a girl (which we were all very delighted with).
