Weekly Social Weight Loss And Exercise Catch Up

Normally (sick this week) I spend around 90 minutes in the gym doing cardio. I aim for 1000 calories a session, 6 days a week. I mix it up between just a 10km run that takes me an hour (plus warmup and cool down) to a 5km run and about 45 minutes on the cross trainer. I run around 40+ km per week, minimum.

Very soon, as I'm now getting closer to my desired weight and build, I'm then going to add weights into the mix, working on the usual one / two muscle groups each day, likely only add that though to 4 days of the week. Obviously I will then cut down some of the cardio, like go for a 5km run then do some weights. Strength work and toning, basically. I'm not interested in building muscle mass as such, more strengthening work, as I'm already one of those naturally muscular blokes, wide shoulders, tapered waist. That is my natural body type. When I cut-up from cardio alone muscles stick out everywhere... but I do want to build them slightly as part of my weekly regime, as age (42) is starting to demand a bit more strength work to keep muscles healthy for me and keep pains and aches at bay.

I made it to 20lbs lost! Today is the day. One part feels that isn't a lot of loss. The other thinks that is a great start. I still have so far to go. Head up. If I can do it that much, I can do it further. Just more determination. More perseverance. It won't be easy, but nothing worth having is. At least the diet will get a little easier for a short time in about a week. It's Phase three and it lightens up. Then I will start all over after that phase is done. I really have to believe I can do this this time. I've had no faith in me before, but, just maybe, I finally want it enough.

I am struggling a tad with my physical balance limit. :(
I had to back down my goal of exercise as it was too much at this time. However, next week I will walk about 3-4 miles four night-shifts (for work) if my body is cooperating. I am trying to keep my caloric intake approx 100 cals (or less) then I burn as suggested by JawboneUp24. I am using a Flexitarian diet.

After my doctor visit next week to find out about this balance crap-o-la, I will try to add yoga in the daytime three times a week for flexibility and to learn how to balance with this one middle ear gone. I now lost a total of 20 pounds and want to maintain that while slowing dropping another 4 over time.

@Britt.f7 Good going!!! So happy for you.

@anthony ...fabulous work! Thank you so much for sharing about Jawbone.

Yer... I'm down to 88 now and slowly decending towards my ideal weight of 85kg, which means skinny and healthy... oh, and fit. I've even started ramping down my cardio and now I just do a 5km run each day, for 6 days of the week, followed by weights. I love a day off... no exercise. So 30km total running per week, and about 5 - 7hrs of weights.

I'm down 3.2 lbs for the week. Going into the next phase of the diet, where I eat more, plus healthy fats. Sugars are still pretty much out, but I think I will do them in moderation. This goes on for two weeks and then I restart the diet, until I lose all the weight I need to. Since I can have more calories, I think I am going to add walking. The energy should be there.

Since I got the surgery on my mouth, I can only drink protein shakes, yogurt and pudding and ice cream. My dentist suggested that I try some hamburger tonight. Wish me luck.

I have cut out breads, chips, and cokes. I am taking a over the counter diet pill which really works.

Once my mouth heals up, I can begin to do the exercises with my daughter and go back on the treadmill again.

I haven't walked in a few days, took off work but dieted hard with nutrition in mind. Lost some more weight. Down to 132 (depending on the time of day). But I saw it twice so I am going with it !!!! I will be walking 3-4 miles four times this week.

You all' are doing great! Congrats.
