What Adjustments For A Better Life?

Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering... What are the adjustments you make to make daily life easier to cope with?
For example:

• I always have water, some food and my computer/mobile phone, in case I can't get up one day. I can then eat and hydrate myself, and warn someone if I had an appointment somewhere.

• I make my laundry for 2 weeks to save my energy.

• I don't wear pyjamas but sport clothes. Like that, if I'm too tired to get dress in the morning, or if the fire alarm rings and I need to get out of the property fast, I am ready.

• I always have fruits, bread and eggs, in case I'm too tired to cook a "real" meal.

• Always have a clock near me.

I keep one day of medication on me at all times in case i get stuck somewhere or need to stay with a friend on a bad night. I also sleep under a weighted blanket and keep cereal and oatmeal in hand for when it is hard to eat. I avoid caffeine and alcohol. I exercise. These things help.

My camping gear easy at hand in car. Food stuffs, a good pal to stay in contact with.

Needed this with car camping (temp homeless). Plan ahead. OH and all the dog needs.

GoBags.

Pick an activity, a season, or an eventuality, and I usually have a bag packed for it. Which = No Thinking Required. Just grab the bag and go. Everything I need is in it. (Also usually including cash to cover things I might not have thought of when I packed it.) From after school sports to a business trip to the apocalypse. Grab your trash, let's go!

A Very Boring Wardrobe / Fashion-Smashin

While I DO usually own pretties; leather, lace, silk, & whatnots, in a rainbow of colors and frivolity... They're on one side of the wardrobe. The other side? Easily replaced exact duplicates of each other. The same pair of trousers, the same camisole, the same long sleeved shirt, the same sock, the same colors. Yay! No thinking required! Pants. Shirt. Done. If I'm feeling think-able I can head to the other side of wardrobe and pair a kimono with jeans or whatever. Or wear a dress. Or hell, neckties for garters. WTF. Whatever. The rest of the time? Hello easy.

Ditto Zeh Kitchen

My kitchens tend to look like someone unloaded a restaurant dishwasher. White, white, white, boring, boring, boring, pint glass, pint glass, pint glass. My grandmother with her 6 sets of china for different occasions gets a lot of exercise rolling over in her grave, I'm certain. I figure I'm doing good just by using dishes, at all :p

Yesterday, I had to go out and I found myself lost and in pain. That could have been prevented if I had in my bag key items. I've decided to always have in my bag:
- Painkillers
- Something to eat (e.g. a fruit) + 1 bottle of water
- Maps (to avoid being disorientated)
- A watch
