I have had an interesting day...I went without a cigarette for way longer than I thought I could, but eventually I fell off of the wagon.:( I am a little disappointed, but overall, I am proud of myself for trying and will continue again until I am an ex-smoker.
I wasn't prepared for the symptoms of my body detoxing from all of the chemicals in cigarette smoke; I had a headache, a feeling of pressure throughout my body, aches and pains, general malaise, nausea, sore throat, etc. it was very unpleasant and I will need to talk to my doctor about this. Maybe she can suggest something to help the detoxification process.
I drank a lot of water and didn't get as nervous without a cigarette as I thought I would, but still it was really uncomfortable and 3 days is all I could stand. I feel blessed by all of my forum friends who have supported my quit efforts and will try again tomorrow.
I am feeling tired and wiped out, but a good night's sleep will help, if I can manage it. I see my doctor next week and will talk to her about things then.
