1. Avoided a potentially bad accident (10 pallets of goods delivered and one had a plastic bag full of broken glass items which I put in the trash but tried to pack down the trash can), fortunately fast reflexes and no bleeding. THEN I noticed that the manager and assisted manager all had utility gloves and us hourly people didn't... so need some utility gloves for my locker cuz THAT ain't gonna happen again. Feel irritated and concerned about safety in the workplace.
2. Assistant Manager commented to people in lunch room "She eats weird food." (which depending on my mood could have gone either way) To which I replied, "That is true, but I'm beating the prognosis for my medical conditions and I don't have $450 a month Rx prescription costs anymore." She let it drop but doubled back and quietly asked me "How do you know this stuff?" Heh... trial and error and taking care of over 500 elderly/ill or hospice people I said. Feel glad I turned around a potential resentment about the remark and boomeranged back something impressive.
3. Woman went down & unresponsive in the back of the store... I was at a register, and it was difficult to manage the adrenaline as I'm a heretofore first responder... need to manage that somehow. I started making stupid mistakes but everybody was nice about it. Felt like a dumb ass because I couldn't calm the brain down for about 20 minutes.
4. Felt frustrated that traffic on the road home was backed up for 6 of the almost 7 1/2 to 8 miles home (stop and go... and go was barely tapping the gas) but cranked up the radio and did some highway karoke and played the drums on the steering wheel.
5. Felt pissed manager is not consistent with getting the new schedule out - apparently that's the norm. That will likely fester.
