What Are You Feeling Today? Not Thinking, Rather Feeling! Can You Identify Yours?

I am feeling really glad that I'm in a group that can empathize when I get the memories that trouble me.
I am feeling something I can't really identify today... My eyes want to tear, but can't ... not grief or sadness exactly, maybe healthy fear as I let more of things come out.
I am feeling myself breath hold... and am cuing myself to breathe slowly and deeply.

Triggered, workmen are top dressing the road at the back of the property. Lots of trucks reversing. I've never noticed that reverse peeping noice sounds like the machines they use in hospital.
Flashback to lying in a hospital bed - helpless, unable to move

Guilty for not going to church in so long- some good reasons others not so good.
agoraphobic
isolating
easily triggered
almost angry enough to go over to the shooting ranges and mow them all down to make the triggering stop
Don't worry, I don't have access to a gun but the thought of a repeating rifle strafing them is tempting. Maybe I'm trying to fend off the triggering sounds.

Irritated... Went to a facility to check the pool levels and chemicals (rained last night thank goodness) and a door was left unlocked. Tried to call the director... straight to the voice mail... two hours later... still no call back. Grrrrrrr

Sentimental... at said facility there was apparently more than one nest of plovers... and there were four little babies running around identical to their parents (I made my husband smirk because I kept saying "Aaaawwwww!!!". I love baby anythings... even snakes or insects.

Relaxed... after said facility visit, took my husband to a local eatery for breakfast... I had a seafood omlette with tabasco and rye toast with jelly (don't get that very often - the toast and jelly, it felt like I was eating a dessert).

Cautiously optimistic... got an online workshop in less than an hour by the author of the book "3 Minute Therapy"... I am hoping that I can calm my thoughts down, pay attention, and learn something useful (Dr. Michael Edelstein will speak about another forum's recovery principles and REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy), as set forth by Dr. Albert Ellis
