...my sister...was sleeping and looked so peaceful...hope that it is over soon, as she has no quality of life.
My sister is a lot like me stubborn, head strong and independent. It makes me so angry. Please god, let her live till I get there. A bit selfish on my part.
Dearest friend,
You and your siblings have truly led most challenging lives. Poverty...Genetics...Illness...Abuse & Neglect...and Lives Cut Far Too Short. Each one of you unfortunately seeing your own likely future in what your siblings have already endured. :(
Well you all, in your own right, are very strong even though the paths you each traveled have been distinct. But one thing you, my friend, are not is "selfish".
Your sister is able to sleep, and her pain is being managed. What you are simply "praying for" (not in any religious sense) is the chance to say "goodbye for now, my love." And although some may feel that she is no longer aware of much, if anything, you need that goodbye for you and she may need that sense of your strong but loving presence to finally let go.
Love, in this case, is anything but selfish! I will be praying for you to receive that wish and for your sister to receive that one final gift from you.
Embracing you while gently holding your heart,
Alex

Feeling much sorrow for my one friend, much hopefulness and strength for the fighter whose footsteps I follow (Deb), and much elation for another friend. As for me much numbness and pity surround my own medical and mental plight.
